Mandarin Class - Year 4, 5 and 6 Children
This year we have been overwhelmed by our children’s efforts in the twice-weekly ‘Golden Mile’ 6 minute running sessions. Our top achievers this year are photographed below with their amazing running successes. Jenson Pickett topped the stats with a whopping 31 miles ran this year, followed by Roma Tyson—a marathon distance of 26 miles, Jem Sorohan—24 miles, Kit Sorohan—23 miles and Fred Davies with 22 miles.
A massive well done to our Mandarin pupils on a fantastic end of year production. With our super play directors - Mrs Brockhouse and Miss Oliver, and some amazing set design from Mrs Goodwin, our show was a huge success and enjoyed by all!
As a school we love to take part in as many sporting events as possible. Mr Price, our Premier Education PE coach, along with teachers in PE lessons help our teams to develop their skills before taking part in a variety of events. We have competed in Archery, Hockey, Rounders, Cricket, Athletics and Football tournements this year...Here are just a few of our team pictures.
This weekend five of our Year 6s, along with Y6s at Austrey and Warton Primary Schools, went on residential to Manor Adventure - Culmington Manor. They took part in a variety of activities including: abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, high ropes and a hill walk up the Long Mynd in Church Stretton. Mr Kilkenny and Miss Oliver accompanied the children from Friday to Monday, with Miss Griffiths making a one-day appearace on Sunday to join in with the fun!
