Mandarin Class - Year 4, 5 and 6 Children

Sporting Fun

As a school we love to take part in as many sporting events as possible.  Mr Price, our Premier Education PE coach, along with teachers in PE lessons help our teams to develop their skills before taking part in a variety of events.  We have competed in Archery, Hockey, Rounders, Cricket, Athletics and Football tournements this year...Here are just a few of our team pictures.

Y6 Residential to Manor Adventure, Craven Arms, Shropshire.

This weekend five of our Year 6s, along with Y6s at Austrey and Warton Primary Schools, went on residential to Manor Adventure - Culmington Manor. They took part in a variety of activities including: abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, high ropes and a hill walk up the Long Mynd in Church Stretton.  Mr Kilkenny and Miss Oliver accompanied the children from Friday to Monday, with Miss Griffiths making a one-day appearace on Sunday to join in with the fun!

Our Y6 Leavers' Treat

Our Year 6s and Miss Griffiths had a fantastic day out to celebrate the end of their primary school journey.  They went along to the Snowdome for a 'swim and inflatable' session, lunch at Clyde's Bar and Grill, a trip to the park and then a fun-filled ice skating session.  A great end to their time at Newton Regis!

Rounders Success

On Thursday 19th June, children from Mandarin class took part in the cluster rounders tournament.  14 schools took part with each school playing 4 games in the first round.  Our fantastic team, made up of Ellie, Lilli, Dan, Nico, Matt, Toby, Heidi, Charlotte and Cody, won 3 out of our 4 games which sent us straight through to the semi final against Outwoods school.  Everybody, including the spectators, thoroughly enjoyed the competition and we are all very proud of our team! Well Done!
