For our end of year production this year we staged our very own 'Newton's Got Talent'. Children from all year groups auditioned to take part and put on a fantastic show for our parents. We had singing, dancing, jokes and even kickboxing from our talented pupils.
Welcome to Newton Regis Church of England Primary School
Set in the peaceful rural village of Newton Regis our small, friendly primary school provides excellent facilities for learning and play for children aged between 3 and 11. Located on the outskirts of Tamworth we welcome children from surrounding villages, as well as from Tamworth itself. We offer:
- Small class sizes and a real focus on each individual child
- High academic standards: In 2018 we achieved the top ranking in Warwickshire for our maths SATs results
- Flexible, high quality pre-school provision, fully integrated with the school to provide a happy transition into Reception
- A fun, theme-based curriculum to engage our young learners
- A small friendly school community
- Excellent secondary school options. We are in catchment for The Polesworth School, rated Outstanding by Ofsted
As Newton Regis is a part of the Birmingham Diocese, our Y6 leavers, along with Austrey and Warton pupils were invited to a leavers' service at St Martin's on July 10th. Children prepared a reading, sang hymns and met other year 6 pupils from the area to share their experiences of primary school.
As a school we love to take part in as many sporting events as possible. Mr Price, our Premier Education PE coach, along with teachers in PE lessons help our teams to develop their skills before taking part in a variety of events. We have competed in Archery, Hockey, Rounders, Cricket, Athletics and Football tournements this year...Here are just a few of our team pictures.
This weekend five of our Year 6s, along with Y6s at Austrey and Warton Primary Schools, went on residential to Manor Adventure - Culmington Manor. They took part in a variety of activities including: abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, high ropes and a hill walk up the Long Mynd in Church Stretton. Mr Kilkenny and Miss Oliver accompanied the children from Friday to Monday, with Miss Griffiths making a one-day appearace on Sunday to join in with the fun!
Our Year 6s and Miss Griffiths had a fantastic day out to celebrate the end of their primary school journey. They went along to the Snowdome for a 'swim and inflatable' session, lunch at Clyde's Bar and Grill, a trip to the park and then a fun-filled ice skating session. A great end to their time at Newton Regis!
