Mandarin class interview Mark Smith about his life in the Canadian mountains

As part of our 'Misty Mountain' topic, Mandarin class have been finding out all about tourism and living in the mountains.  We were lucky enough to get to interview an expert skier - Mark Smith, and find out all about his life in Canada.  He brought along his ski equipment and told us all about his experiences of avalanche rescue, heli-skiing and cat skiing! Teacher and Head Teacher Awards

As our children are continually working hard, teachers will award 'Teacher' and 'Head Teacher' awards for individual pieces of work that are of a high standard.  This could be Literacy or Numeracy based work as well as topic work or even homework that a lot of effort has been put into.  If your child receives an award from their teacher, parents will be invited to come and share the successes of their child in our Friday achievement assembly.

World Book Day

On Thursday 3rd March, children throughout the school dressed up as characters from their favourite books to celebrate World Book Day 2016.  In school we also ran a competition to design a new front cover for a book of their choice... The winners of this will be announced in assembly on Friday 11th May.  Here are Mandarin and Ducklings showing off their superb outfits.  You can catch more images of World Book Day in this week's edition of the Tamworth Herald.
